The Nature Schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

Description

At Axevalla Horse Center between Skara and Skövde, you will find everything you could wish for in terms of horses.

We are in an expansive phase where a new school and horse facility have just been put into use. At Axevalla Horse Center, we offer high school education, adult education, and vocational training in the disciplines of equestrian sports, trotting, and Icelandic horse sports. We also have farrier training at the vocational level. Our goal is for all students to reach as far as possible in their learning.

We are looking for someone who wants to work extra as a horse caretaker in the operations!

Responsibilities

The assignment includes all commonly occurring tasks in horse facility work, such as stable duties, horse care, and riding/driving. You should have the ability to work with good structure according to the current planning. It is of utmost importance that you take responsibility for the horses' well-being and can make your own priorities based on the needs of the operations. Working together with students is part of the assignment.

Qualifications

You should have knowledge in riding different types of horses, such as starting, rehabilitation, and training according to instructions. (Riding/driving tests can be conducted before employment). Focus on equestrian sports, Icelandic horse sports, or trotting.

It is an advantage if you have a horse caretaker diploma.

To thrive in the assignment, you need to be proactive, responsible, meticulous, loyal, and have good collaboration skills. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Professional experience in horse care is an advantage, as well as good skills in riding/driving and farriery competence.

A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required. Additional qualifications are advantageous.

Conditions

Hourly employment with work primarily occurring during weekends and holidays, but weekday shifts may also occur. Immediate start or according to agreement.
